About Madeline Goss
With a master\'s degree in human geography and a background in program design, I am a UX Designer who is passionate about creating products that are not only beautiful but also serve a bigger purpose. I have a keen interest in human/environment interaction and how it can inform design decisions that enhance user experience and accessibility. Currently, I am working on a research-backed redesign of a company website, with a focus on improving web accessibility to meet WCAG AA standards. I am responsible for providing research and competitive analysis, wireframes, updated web copy, and a finalized redesign of the website. Previously, I completed a UI redesign of a client-facing mobile app for Mizaru, a start-up that provides communicative and navigational support to users with visual and/or hearing impairments. I improved the user experience based on research and feedback from key stakeholders and created a consistent design system using atomic design principles, component library, and Figma auto-layout. I am always eager to learn new skills and apply my creativity and education to help organizations tell their story through design. I hope to find opportunities that align with my values and goals of doing good work in a fun and playful way. When not working or studying, I enjoy playing ultimate frisbee, spending time with my dog, and hiking with friends.
