About Madeline Blankenship
As a PhD candidate at the University of Colorado Denver, my work centered around robotics in pediatric therapy. I led a team of undergraduate and MS candidates to develop a novel robot to enhance occupational therapy for children with disabilities, which I led to validation through rigorous pilot studies and user research. The interdisciplinary collaboration has been a cornerstone of this journey, integrating biomechanics, robotics, and user-centered design. In the classroom, my role as a lecturer bridged engineering and clinical applications, crafting an engaging educational experience for students. My commitment to universal design and passion for mentorship are central to my approach—whether it\'s guiding future STEM talent or advancing therapeutic innovations. With an eye towards a future in biotechnology research, my goal is to continue shaping technology to empower healthcare outcomes.
