ABOUT MADELEINE SMITH
Hi, I\'m Madeleine. I believe in the power of shared stories to inspire meaningful change. As a philanthropy professional, I am motivated to become a leader who fosters deep connection and champions causes that shape the future. My journey in Advancement began at Branksome Hall, where I supported the school’s historic $30 million Make Way campaign and the development of the iCAST project. This foundation in the IB community, managing the organizational details behind big ideas, prepared me for my current chapter at Upper Canada College.Today, as a Development Officer at UCC, I help connect visionary projects with the passionate individuals who make them possible. I am energized by the opportunity to build on the College’s rich legacy and to work alongside a community dedicated to excellence and transformative impact.I hold three degrees from Queen’s University: a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Media and Performance Production, a Graduate Diploma in Arts Management, and a Certificate in Business. My academic and professional experiences have strengthened my ability to pair creative execution with strategic planning.During my time in Kingston, I was a dedicated member of the Vogue Charity Fashion Show at Queen\'s. This experience allowed me to blend my love of the arts with community engagement, working closely with several inspiring charities across Kingston. I also served as Development Lead for the Kingston Theatre Alliance and as Marketing Coordinator for the Festival of Live Digital Art (FOLDA). I also worked as a Project Management Associate at RBCx, supporting innovative initiatives and collaborative projects.Outside of work, I love a good thrill. I have been skydiving twice and have swum with sharks, and I cannot wait to do both again. On quieter days, you will find me baking, and I am proud to have perfected my own French macaron recipe during the pandemic. If you are passionate about sharing perspectives and uplifting causes, I would love to connect.
