ABOUT MADELEINE KENT
First year MA student at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU where I am pursuing a degree in Art History and Archeology. I focus on the Renaissance in the Habsburg Empire. My research interests include domestic spaces, cultures of collecting, gender and race in the arts, and architectural heritage. My MA thesis concentrates on the conflicting racial depictions of St. Maurice in the dual branches of the Habsburg Empire, investigating how and where these divergences occurred. I seek to apply my research and curatorial background to a career in museums.
