About Madeleine Cronn

Nice to meet you! I am a recent M.S. graduate of Columbia Journalism School where I focused on print and digital journalism with an emphasis on arts and culture, technology, and societal shifts. My master\'s thesis covered AI’s insurgence in the creative world of screenwriting. Titled, “In the Year After the Writers Strike, AI Introduces a New Reality for Young People With Hollywood Dreams”. Before coming to New York, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications at The University of Melbourne in Melbourne, Australia. During my time there I wrote on fashion and culture in the city, covering events like PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival and Melbourne Fashion Week. I also worked as the head assistant to Sydney-based designer Nathaniel Youkhana at his label YOUKHANA. I collaborated on workshopping designs and helped to produce garments by hand as well as managed brand sponsorships. In May 2023, I served as lead assistant to the label during its Australian Fashion Week runway showcase. Designs from this show and previous collections are featured in publications such as Vogue Australia, GRAZIA, and Harper\'s BAZAAR Australia.Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to connect!
