As a member of the Center for Resilience, Bureau for Resilience, Environment, and Food Security (REFS), my role is to integrate risk management and resilience within REFS’ strategic programming and across the Agency. I focus strengthen strategy development, technical guidance, learning, and provide targeted support to USAID Missions to design and implement high quality and impactful resilience programming that increases sustainable livelihoods, wellbeing, and reduces the cost of humanitarian assistance. Highlights:Serves as resilience lead for the U.S. Government Global Food Security Strategy (GFSS) development and implementation, aligning priorities, effectively communicated resilience approaches across USAID, receiving management and leadership awards.Collaboratively leads USAID Resilience Policy integration across USAID, provides strategic planning and technical country support to USAID Resilience Focus and Feed the Future Countries. Advances thought leadership, learning platforms and events, partnerships to drive results - emphasis on multi-sectoral resilience, nutrition, human capital, social protection, climate, conflict, and agricultural livelihoods in the GFSS and Mission portfolios, receiving management and leadership award.Served on crisis team and helped program over $1 billion in supplemental funding following Russia’s war in Ukraine, receiving a USAID Superior Honor Award.Serves as activity design expert and on technical evaluation committees for $100-$200M awards, and certified USG contract and agreement officer representative Level II; Activity manager for nutrition and resilience initiatives.Prepares congressional justifications, background briefers and speeches for senior officials.Reviews Mission resilience annual operational plans and activity key performance indicators.
