Macosarto is a family-owned company founded in 1961 by Alex and Elías Curiel. Its name derives from “MAnufacturera de COSméticos and ARtículos de TOcador.” From the very beginning, Macosarto partnered with leading global groups, including PUIG, laying the foundation for a legacy of excellence in beauty and fragrance. In 2002, José María Ollé Curiel, together with the heirs of Elías Curiel, acquired full ownership of the company, becoming majority shareholder and Executive President. In 2010, Macosarto strengthened its national presence by acquiring “Morris E. Curiel & Sons,” and by 2012 had become Venezuela’s leader in luxury perfumery and cosmetics distribution, representing some of the most prestigious brands worldwide. That same year, the company launched Glam Éclat, a pioneering luxury perfumery concept offering clients a unique, service-driven shopping experience. Today, Glam Éclat operates eight boutiques across Venezuela and continues its expansion. In 2014, Macosarto introduced its own cosmetics brand, Ollé, inspired by Parisian elegance and committed to innovation and quality. With international growth in mind, Macosarto founded Cosmetics & Co. to serve Latin America and the Caribbean, opening its first subsidiary in Colombia "Cosmetics Company SAS". Today, we proudly collaborate in Colombia with groups such as PUIG and Chanel, tailoring solutions for select clients. In 2022, the company further expanded into Europe with the creation of Macosarto Beauty Ibérica. Our portfolio includes Carolina Herrera, Nina Ricci, Paco Rabanne, Jean Paul Gaultier, Estée Lauder, Clinique, MAC, Juvena, Declaré, Tous, Antonio Banderas, Shakira, Benetton, Disney brands, Halloween, Reebok among others.
