1. Coalition Coordinator

   Raise Your Hand For Illinois Public Education

   Apr 2024 — Present

   Spearheads a statewide education equity coalition, leading collaboration among existing partners and building relationships with new organizations — resulting in a 200% increase in coalition membership over 6 months.Organizes coalition infrastructure, facilitating steering committee and subcommittee meetings/needs while overhauling internal processes to create efficient workflows, mitigate conflict, and build leadership across the coalition.Drives annual legislative campaigns by coordinating political advocacy strategy and building relationships with elected officials, resulting in the passage of a school funding transparency bill, increases to education spending, and the passage of new progressive revenue measure in IL.Supervises and supports the statewide parent organizer, providing weekly coaching and collaborative leadership development.Amplifies coalition visibility by doubling our social media following, landing an op-ed in the Chicago Tribune, and leading public information efforts, including in-person and virtual trainings for parents and community members across Illinois.
