About Maddy Freeman

Born and raised in New Jersey, I am a Los Angeles-based film industry professional. I am a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where I earned a B.F.A. in Film and Television Production, with a double minor in Business of Entertainment, Media and Technology and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies. I currently work as an assistant to a senior partner in the Motion Picture Literary department at talent agency William Morris Endeavor (WME). I previously worked for the Co-Head of International Sales in WME Independent and for a partner in the Talent department. Prior to WME, I worked as Assistant to the President at On Location, a company that specializes in premium experiences and hospitality at live events, and in my role, I also supported the CFO, COO, and EVP, Olympics and Paralympics. While in college, I interned at Imagine Entertainment & Television, Untitled Entertainment, and Gunpowder & Sky. I was hired by Hooked to direct a narrative short film, which was posted on their streaming platform, and I simultaneously worked freelance editing commercials and social media content. I also worked on campus as a Video Specialist for NYU Teaching and Learning in the IT Department. Creatively, I am a film director, producer, writer, actress, and editor. Among my most recently recognized films are “He Made His Bed”, my NYU thesis film, as well as “Driving Her Away”, “Appetite”, and “Because I Love Him”. My films have screened in various film festivals, including Chelsea Film Festival and Garden State Film Festival. I am now working on my debut feature. I have also produced several short films, including “Polly” and “The Gates”. My set experience includes work as an assistant director, script supervisor, and production assistant on student sets. Professionally, I worked as a health & safety PA and set PA. I also have post-production experience as an editor for narrative films, documentaries, and commercials. Since 2024, I have been training in acting at Beverly Hills Playhouse in Los Angeles. While at Tisch, I took several acting classes as electives. I began acting in 2016 when I participated in US Performing Arts Camps\' WebTV summer program. I completed the WebTV program again in 2017 as well as US Performing Arts\' Acting for the Camera program. I also founded my own production company, Uncharted Productions, LLC, which provides filmmaking services to individuals, local and international businesses, and charitable organizations, while also producing original projects.
