ABOUT MADDISON DENNIS

Hampshire / Surrey Architectural Interior Designer, currently working on residential projects from Concept to Completion. Not only do I specialise in concept and spatial design, I have a wide set of skills due to my education and prior work placements; Hard Working, Confident, Team Player, Communication Skills and Motivated. My love of Interior Design started at the age of around 11. From a little girl I loved rearranging and decorating my room. I studied Art as one of my GCSEs, and from that point on I knew I loved exploring colours, materials and seeing something new being developed. In college, I studied Textiles and Business. These subjects played a huge part in my design career; textiles provided me information about the certain looks and materials and business allowed me to understand cash flow and forecasting in order for me to be able to understand and have my own business in the future. I then went on to university and was finally able to start my interior design journey. Throughout my education I realised that I don\'t just want to be involved in colours and materials, I wanted to be a part of the structural and build side of a project too. Therefore, I completed a BA in Architectural Interior Design at Solent University. This course allowed me to gain experience within the industry and learn invaluable skills; Programs such as Auto CAD, Microsoft Software\'s, Photoshop and SketchUp to name a few. These skills also helped me alongside my degree with working at a Interior Design Practise, and going self employed. After University, I decided to take the plunge and set up my own company called MAD Interiors, assisting building companies from the ground up. This consists of the external and internal design involving design boards, spatial plans, lighting and electrical plans and elevations all the way until the finished look of materials, finishes and furniture. I am now creating and developing strong relationships with Architects, Construction Companies, Designers, Clients, Suppliers & Contractors; always keeping up to date with new ideas & feedback.
