Brian MacDonald is the President and CTO of BGIdeas Consulting - a boutique consultancy specializing in enterprise architecture in the energy and utilities industry and mobile application development for IOS. Prior to starting his consulting business he worked as a Solution Architect in IBM Global Business Services and was a member of IBM\'s Global Center of Competency for Energy and Utilities.Over the past 10 years he has led the architecture, design and implementation of utility smart metering solutions which include advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and meter data management systems (MDMS).
