Job Corps is the largest nationwide residential career training program in the country and has been operating for 61 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment. Job Corps has trained and educated over two million individuals since 1964.I serve as Center Director of a federally funded Job Corps education and workforce training center for young adults ages 16–24. Provide strategic leadership and full operational oversight for a 65-acre, 50-building residential campus supporting 400+ students and 190+ staff. Direct all functional areas including academics, career technical training (CTT), residential services, health and wellness, safety and security, student support, counseling, facilities, finance, and administration. Supervise senior leadership team and oversee performance management, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Administer a $16.5M annual budget, ensuring regulatory compliance, resource efficiency, and alignment with U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) performance metrics. Manage delivery of 12 industry-aligned trade training programs and an accredited high school, supporting high school completion, job placement, and career advancement. Lead initiatives in student retention, graduate outcomes, workforce readiness, and post-secondary transition. Champion trauma-informed care, student-centered practices, and engaged learning. Build partnerships with employers, community colleges, workforce boards, regional and federal stakeholders to expand work-based learning (WBL) and union apprenticeship pathways. Ensure campus-wide safety, compliance, and mission-driven service delivery.
