ABOUT MACK RUBLEY
I began my studies in the field of Athletic Training as a clinician in 1988. During my time as a clinician I worked in high school, division one collegiate and club athletic settings. In 1998 I began my transition from a clinical practitioner to a clinical scientist during my doctoral studies at BYU. It was during this time I really began to question the effectiveness of therapeutic modalities to treat acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. This line of questions continued when I went to work at UNLV, where I directed the Athletic Training Education Program and the Athletic Training Research Laboratory. These experiences provided me with the opportunity to develop leadership and medical research skills. As I have transitioned to the medical device industry my focus has broadened from orthopedic and athletic medicine to all areas of medicine. It is my continued goal to pursue a research agenda focusing on the treatment and rehabilitation of injury and illness and my current position allows me to work on new and innovative projects with a strong group of experts in the fields of clinical research, regulatory affairs, data management, biostatistics and safety oversight.
