ABOUT MACKENZIE BLAKE
I recently completed my BSc in Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo (Winter 2025), with a focus on health equity, social determinants of health, and systems-level change. Throughout my degree, I paired my academic training with leadership and applied experiences that strengthened my skills in strategic thinking, project management, and cross-functional collaboration, including serving as one of the captains of the varsity field hockey team.For the remainder of the 2026 school year, my primary focus is serving as Co-Event Director with motionball at the University of Waterloo, supporting community engagement and fundraising initiatives for Special Olympics Canada Foundation. I am passionate about bridging healthcare and business to drive meaningful, sustainable change and am motivated by opportunities to work alongside experienced professionals, continue learning, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen health systems and improve outcomes.
