ABOUT MACKENZIE WRIGHT

I am a dedicated and student-centered graduate student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, pursuing my Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) with a concentration in Organizational Leadership. My background in Criminology, Law, and Society, combined with my leadership and advocacy experience, has shaped my passion for supporting student success and advancing equity in higher education.I currently serve as a Graduate Research Assistant in Graduate Admissions, a Student Ambassador for the College of Social Work, and a Victim Advocate at a domestic violence shelter. In these roles, I support graduate recruitment and admissions initiatives, engage in outreach for prospective students, and provide trauma-informed advocacy and crisis intervention for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.Additionally, I serve as the Senate Chair for the Graduate Student Senate and Program Coordinator for the Master of Social Work Organization (MSWO), where I advocate for graduate student needs, coordinate programming, and foster community within the College of Social Work.I am passionate about pursuing a career in higher education, focusing on student affairs, leadership development, and inclusive student support.
