WORK HISTORY
Environment Climate Reporter @Voice Of San Diego
San Diego, CA, US
At Voice of San Diego, I cover the Colorado River, environmental catastrophes at the U.S-Mexico border, competition between private and public energy companies, industrial pollution affecting redlined environmental justice communities, the rollout of state-mandated food waste recycling, and whatever else strikes the community here. I write a biweekly column, called the Environment Report, for thousands of subscribers about the natural world around them.Voice of San Diego is a nonprofit news organization. We were founded in 2005 by Union-Tribune columnist Neil Morgan and entrepreneur Buzz Woolley because they felt the region needed more reporting, analysis and journalistic competition. At VOSD, we reveal why things are the way they are and expose facts that people in power might not want out there. We also take the time to explain complex local public policy issues so you can be engaged and make good decisions.
