ABOUT MACKENZIE BROOMFIELD
I am a Registered Social Worker authorized to practice in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario. I am also a Certified End-of-Life Doula. I am a self-motivated and organized professional with a strong background in serving families. I am a keen and reflexive learner interested in supporting safe and inclusive environments. My practice is strength-based and ecological-focused, and I present a highly developed cultural competency and vast skill base in palliative care, grief support, and adult education. My minor in Sociocultural Anthropology fostered my deep appreciation for the ways in which culture, religion and experience shape worldviews and influence choices. I am also highly skilled in topics related to domestic violence, healthy relationships, and effective communication. My work reflects Cognitive-Behavioural perspectives, including Radical Acceptance, and frequently utilizes narrative, mindful-based, and rational-emotive approaches. I am a flexible leader, adept in group facilitation, program development, and creative solutions, who values equality, transparency and teamwork.
