As a patient advocate for those living with Bipolar Disorder I and Bipolar Disorder II, I serve those in need with the goal of helping them manage their disease state effectively and regain control over their livesFrom raising money and awareness for cancer research and patient support services during my undergrad to educating providers about a rescue medication for their patients living with diabetes, improving patient outcomes has been central to me.Given the vast number of chronic diseases prevalent throughout the world, plenty of work is yet to be done. That said, educating providers on new medications and enabling patients access to the proper care they need goes a long way in the pursuit of a brighter future. Day by day, I strive to be a catalyst in bringing that burden-free-future closer to reality for those that are still struggling, one disease state at a time.
