You read that right. I am a bit of a shark. At first, I was scared to be called a shark in my current sales role, even when my kind coworkers assured me it was a good thing. We can all be empathetic, impactful, and inspiring sharks, right? Yes, absolutely! At least, that\'s how I have always chosen to lead. I realized I was a shark because I was setting a precedent to approach strategy in a new light and surpassing expectations with flying colors. Even in running my nonprofit, I have to be a shark that fiercely advocates for others and breathes a mission for a better world. Being a shark does not mean you are out for blood, it means you know how to adapt, learn, and survive successfully. Think about Shark Tank and our favorite entrepreneurs. If you do not make change, change will make you. Across my many years in academics, internships, and professional roles, my trusted closing strategies in sales, ability to lead in philanthropy, and inherent need to think outside of the box come naturally to me. The future of my career is rooted in creativity and innovation towards what\'s next. Well, what is next anyway? For me, it is being a woman in business undefined by one role. My past experiences and present ambitions have merged here to create my future goals of success.
