ABOUT MACARENA VALENCIA

I’m a Senior Staffing Specialist at BCG X, where I get to do one of my favorite things: connect brilliant data scientists with challenging, high-impact work across North America. I manage a pool of 90+ super-talented data scientists and help match them with the right opportunities to grow, thrive, and make a difference. And just to clear things up — I’m not a recruiter. I’m more like a strategic matchmaker between people, projects, and possibilities. With 10+ years of global HR experience and an MBA from Babson College, I’ve learned how to balance business needs with human ones — using data, empathy, and a lot of stakeholder wrangling along the way. I collaborate across teams like Engineering, L&D, Finance, and more to make sure every staffing move makes sense for both the person and the bigger picture. When I’m not deep in talent planning, you’ll find me championing representation as a Chapter Leader for Latinas in Tech Boston, helping build a more inclusive and connected tech community.
