Hi there! I\'m Mac.I\'m a data scientist with a Master’s in Applied Statistics, BSc in Health Science, and an Ecommerce business, offering a unique blend of skills beyond traditional data science roles. My responsibilities at a fast paced start up allowed me to extend my expertise across the entire analytics lifecycle, from designing A/B experiments with cross-functional teams to developing and scaling impactful machine learning models to delivering actionable insights for key stakeholders, using R, SQL, and other technologies. My 4 years of entrepreneurship have honed my project management skills for monitoring business health and identifying growth opportunities in order to drive operational efficiency, anticipate challenges, and achieve objectives in data-driven environments.As a data scientist, I have built several dashboards, predictive machine learning models, and geospatial analysis tools with cross-functional teams to monitor business KPIs, forecast demand and track delivery time metrics. In addition, I leveraged Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and Large Language Models (LLMs) for sentiment analysis and topic modeling. I have experience in multiple programming languages, libraries and business intelligence tools such as R, SQL, Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, Heroku, Tableau, Python, Shiny, and Rmarkdown.Throughout my advanced academic journey, I honed my analytical and communication skills in collaborative environments while sharing data mining insights via written reports, statistical models, and data visualizations in consulting projects.My passion for staying up to date with new statistical and analytical methodologies aligns seamlessly with the dynamic and innovative culture of the analytics and AI industry.
