ABOUT MABEL KWAN

With a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto and a specialization in aging, palliative and supportive care, I am a passionate social worker at Critical Trauma Therapy, where I provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive services to diverse clients.Previously, I worked as a social worker at Scarborough Health Network and a newcomer mental health specialist at The Cross-Cultural Community Services Association, where I supported individuals and families with complex needs, such as mental health, substance use, immigration, and settlement. In these roles, I demonstrated my abilities in assessment, intervention, advocacy, and collaboration.I am committed to ongoing learning, unlearning, and relearning, as well as engaging in critical self-reflection and developing confidence in social work practice. I am devoted to serving our community with empathy, respect, and professionalism, and to advancing social justice and human rights.
