ABOUT MAAZ ALI MOHAMMED

I have a strong background in applying spatial, analytical, inferential and creative skills to plan and implement solutions for various urban, climate and environmental challenges. I have worked within multi-sector teams for more than five years in the fields of solid waste management, climate change mitigation and adaptation, ICT and resilience-based urban planning, spatial and land use planning. I have experience in conducting research, analysis, stakeholder engagement, policy formulation, project management and monitoring and evaluation in these areas. I have a deep interest and motivation in exploring and applying new and effective methods and practices that can enhance the well-being, health and happiness of people and nature while reducing the negative impacts and risks of climate change. I believe that by working together with diverse stakeholders and partners, we can co-create solutions that are environmentally friendly, socially inclusive, economically viable and culturally appropriate. I aim to contribute to the global efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement, and to support the adaptation and transformation of communities and ecosystems in the face of climate change.
