ABOUT MAANYA RAI

Hi! I’m an emerging development professional with 3+ years of experience at the intersection of education, policy & social impact.I hold a B.A.(Hons.) in Economics with a minor in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College, & an MBA in Business Management from NMIMS. While the academic journey was enriching, it was my urge to do something meaningful that led to me to prepare for the civil services exam & explore diverse verticals within the development space. I began by teaching primary students, but soon found myself gravitating toward more policy oriented roles. At Invest India & later with the Government of India, I worked on research & programme evaluations aimed at driving citizen level impact. More recently, I’ve been mentoring UPSC aspirants & developing resources that help them critically engage with ethics & governance. I have now joined SOAS University of London to pursue an MSc in Global Development Studies, driven by my passion for bridging policy & impact. I’m committed to advancing education reform, gender equity & inclusive development through public institutions. I also enjoy reading, dancing & learning new things.
