ABOUT MAANYA SHAH
I’m a grade 11 IB student at St. Francis Xavier SS with a passion for STEM, business, and coding. I want to use technology to create a real-world impact. With experience in Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Lua, and C#; currently learning Kotlin.I’m currently working on machine learning tools to support healthcare innovation. My recent AI research on early dementia detection in IBD patients using EEG data earned Gold at the Peel Regional Science Fair, Bronze at CWSF, and presented for Team Canada in Abu DhabiI’ve also collaborated with Pharmasave to build an AI-powered platform that streamlines prescription access and improves user experience.Outside of research, I’m developing personal tech projects, including a mobile app to help households reduce food waste through smarter tracking and management.As a competitive cross country and track & field athlete, I have also qualified for OFSAA three times and South Regionals twice.My goal is to become a computer engineer and harness AI to build inclusive, community-driven solutions.
