Includes short-term and long-term patients such as those also receiving dialysis, tracheostomy tube/ventilator dependent, and with typical primary diagnoses of stroke, dementia, respiratory failure, and presence of neoplasm or tumor- Therapy includes interventions related to restoration/maintenance/compensation strategies for cognitive-linguistic, swallowing, voice, fluency, etc- Assist in mobile FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Examination of Swallowing) in order to visualize the anatomy of the swallow and rule out risks of aspiration in residents with dysphagia.
