About Michael Carrington
Hi, I’m Michael, a Computer Science student at Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating in 2027.I am someone who is very passionate about emerging technologies, art, music, and creative problem-solving. I believe technology and art are deeply interconnected, as both require creativity, precision, and the drive to build something meaningful.Over the past few years, I’ve gained hands on experience in technical support and troubleshooting through roles as an audio engineer and web developer for the East Marshall Street Well Oral History and Memorialization Project, a student assistant at the VCU Workshop, and a team member at WVCW student radio. My work at the VCU Workshop has also allowed me to grow as a leader and communicator as I’ve led many orientations, conducting seminars on audio and video production, as well as mentoring peers on a wide variety of creative software tools.I’m currently focused on securing a position where I can apply my skills, continue learning, and grow professionally. I\'ve always valued honesty and transparency; if I don’t know something, I’ll be upfront about it, but I will also work hard to learn quickly and excel in every area that I can.
