ABOUT MICHAEL J.

Highly capable Compliance Manager with 25 years’ experience in financial services, latterly within the crypto space. Personable and supportive nature combined with a strong work ethic. A pragmatic and collaborative manager who engages with colleagues and teams to embed and reinforce the benefits of a strong compliance-oriented culture. I have been a professional member of the International Compliance Association since 2010. My experiences lie within compliance advisory and reporting generally relating to anti-money laundering, corporate governance, regulator engagement, operational risk, operational incident management. I’m not one for selling ‘me’, so I’ve taken a few characteristics used in a personality profile to describe me: balanced view; non-judgemental; tolerant and supportive; motivated by providing service, adding value; determined; strongly team oriented; open-minded and good listener; will promote good relations.Beyond work, I have a passion for mountain biking. It’s a great sport for keeping fit, but it also helps keep my appetite for risk in check for any given situation - for those of you less familiar with the sport, bike trails can be technical to navigate and so the speed of progress becomes a calculated risk depending on the perceived quality of equipment and rider ability on the day!
