ABOUT M ZAHID HASAN
I am working as an Associate Scientist in the Health Economics and Financing Research group, under the Health Systems and Population Studies Division at icddr,b, Bangladesh. I hold a PhD in Health Economics from the University of Leeds, Bachelor and Master degree in Health Economics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. I started my research career as a Research Associate at the Institute of Health Economics, University of Dhaka. I have experience in costing, economic evaluation of health and nutrition interventions, healthcare financing policy evaluation, urban primary healthcare, health system efficiency, and discrete choice experiments. Through my research, I aim to contribute to evidence-based, effective health policy-making for health systems in low- and middle-income countries.I have more than 28 publications in peer-reviewed journals and have worked on several projects as principal investigator and coprincipal investigator, with a total value exceeding
