Research efforts focus on linking fiscal and human resources to strategy. Past projects include estimating the fiscal implications of alternative defense strategies for the U.S. Army, evaluating active and reserve component forces\' operational effectiveness, identifying new competencies officers need to function effectively in joint, interagency, intergovernmental and multinational security environment and rapid regeneration of U.S. Army operational capability.
