During my time at Truist Bank, I served as a Data Analyst and Subject Matter Expert (SME), where I was responsible for supporting critical data transformation and migration projects. I played a key role in creating and maintaining data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories to ensure clarity in data lineage and transformation logic. My work included mapping data fields from source to target systems, which helped facilitate seamless transitions across ETL pipelines, database migrations, and system upgrades.I actively participated in the design and execution of ETL processes by conducting detailed data validation, cleansing, and transformation tasks. These efforts ensured alignment with both regulatory requirements and internal data standards. I utilized tools such as SQL, Microsoft Excel, and ETL platforms to analyze large financial datasets—identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies used for risk mitigation, customer segmentation, and performance optimization. My technical contributions supported the automation of reporting workflows and data-driven decision-making across multiple banking operations.My role also involved close collaboration with cross-functional business units to gather data requirements and translate them into actionable insights. I developed and enforced Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide data mapping, quality checks, and governance protocols. In addition, I maintained comprehensive documentation of data models, schemas, mapping logic, and business rules to support long-term project success. As a Data SME, I contributed to the Strategic Data Platform (SDP) initiatives, helping ensure the integrity, consistency, and usability of banking data architecture throughout the organization.
