ABOUT M. SHAYNE GALLAGHER

Shayne has worked continually in the outdoor therapy arena since March of 1990. With over 1400 days, “on the trail,” and by being involved in the development of five wilderness therapy programs, Shayne has acquired a deep understanding of the innate therapeutic effects of a wilderness experience in the lives of young people. Shayne is a pioneer in the development of unique ways to capitalize on these experiences to enhance their therapeutic value. With over thirty years as either a Field Staff, Trainer, Program Developer, Field Director, Program Director, and Executive Director, Shayne is on a short list as one of the most experienced individuals in the history of the Outdoor Therapy Industry. Specialties: Vast experience in wilderness therapy program design.\"Agentive\" Model implementation in program design and management. In depth experience in strength\'s based programming. Non-level system programming and implementation. Shayne has, for many years, presented regionally, nationally, and internationally on the subject of wilderness therapy and it\'s many benefits in the lives of young people. Shayne is the husband of a beautiful wife and the father of six children.
