ABOUT M. SHANE SUMRALL

Productivity is a team effort that begins and ends with trust. People engage when they believe in the cause. I believe organizational success requires the attention and skill of every team member, both internally and externally. My background has involved providing legal counsel across diverse territories, regions and industry sectors, including, energy, financial services, environmental, government relations, labor, employment and litigation. The scope of insurance claims I’ve managed include Professional Liability, Risk Management, Property & Casualty Insurance, Litigation Management and Liability Analysis.The goal is always the same—to protect the company while delivering value to the client, resolving issues by understanding how and when to deploy resources. My strengths lie in anticipating and responding to challenges, working as a skilled advocate and negotiator to manage partner relationships, insurance claims and litigation disputes. I’m always up for a challenge because I trust in the power of the team. We manage risk proactively. There is a critical relationship between clients and employees which is solidified through strong communication and attention to detail. Nothing should come as a surprise if you have mitigation strategies firmly entrenched within the infrastructure.I am an attorney, a businessman and a leader of teams. I am a developer of relationships, a negotiator, a combat veteran, a community advocate and a solver of problems. I am passionate about helping people and delivering value—there is no greater satisfaction.
