ABOUT M. RAZI RAFEEQ
Dr. Rafeeq is a Diplomat of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (a joint Board of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics). He is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) and a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Dr. Rafeeq is the past president of the Michigan Allergy and Asthma Society. He served as the first president of the Toledo Allergy Society (20••••14).Dr. Rafeeq is Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Toledo Medical Center and the Section Chief of Allergy and Immunology at the Mercy St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio. He has spent 25 years rotating and training residents every year through his Ohio solo private practice. For his diligent work to advance the knowledge and treatment of allergic diseases, the Joint Commission on Primary Care Rotations in Allergy honored him with the “Teaching Allergist of the Year” Award in 2002 at the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) annual meeting in San Antonio Texas.In addition to his work in the medical field, Dr. Rafeeq is active in the Toledo community in the areas of children’s literacy and food insecurity. He is the founding member of the Islamic Food Bank of Toledo (IFBT) in 2008 and currently serves as the executive director.
