CSEP serves as a campus-wide hub for the design and implementation of projects that address the state and national needs of broadening participation in STEM for students at all levels. CSEP provides outreach, education and workforce training from undergraduates through postdoctoral scholars and the K-Gray community. Annually, CSEP collaborates with more than 150 faculty and Industry members to serve over 500 community college and UCSB undergraduates, 1200 graduate students and postdocs in education and workforce training, and engage more than K-12 teachers and community members through a variety of outreach initiatives. With a strong emphasis on recruiting students at all levels, initiatives are designed to motivate, recruit and retain students across STEM disciplines. An established network of partners through existing K-12, California Community College, California State University, and University of California collaborations and expertise allows us to integrate existing and new STEM curriculum across a variety of platforms serving constituents at all levels.
