ABOUT M NAZIR

Dr. Nazir,(Naz), is a professional civil/structural engineer with 15-plus years of progressive experience in project management and detailed structural design of buildings, bridges, railroads, energy, and resource industry infrastructures. He is also a certified welding engineer by the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB). His knowledge and experience give him a unique perspective on the functional and design roles both in the consulting and the public sectors (10 years with consultants and 5-plus years with Technical & Transportation Authorities).Naz has led the design teams that delivered projects ranging from the ductile designs of various structural support systems to the temporary works. He has also published his novel engineering design solutions in numerous peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Naz graduated with both M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland.Naz wears many hats as a professional engineer. He leads project teams and conducts senior-level reviews of civil and structural designs for various infrastructure systems. He is involved in preparing project budgets, cash flows, and contingencies through quantitative risk analysis. Additionally, Naz manages various stakeholder engagements.When Naz is not busy reviewing engineering designs or solving engineering problems, he would like to get engaged with the community.
