ABOUT THAMYRIS GOMES

As a Sustainability Engineer pursuing a Master’s in Healthy and Sustainable Buildings from Germany, I am specialised in developing low-carbon, human-centric building solutions and analysis. My work bridges sustainable design, energy efficiency, and building performance simulation to create spaces that promote both environmental and occupant health.I bring hands-on experience across the building lifecycle — from LEED-aligned design to LCA and carbon footprint assessment — with a strong command of tools like DesignBuilder, Revit, DIALux, and LCA OneClick. I’ve led decarbonisation strategies, advised on renewable energy integration, and implemented climate-smart design principles on my projects.During my time as a trainee and later as an architect, I developed the skills inherent in the position and was also able to apply green and sustainability strategies through energy efficiency, thermal comfort and ventilation simulations. Since my first experience in the field, I have been able to develop my knowledge of lighting and daylighting, which is essential for the user\'s well-being. I conducted simulations using specific software that not only reduced energy consumption for my clients, but also increased well-being by increasing daylight in the built environment.Because I have an entrepreneurial and innovative profile, I started a graphic design company from the scratch which has grown internationally with clients in France, the USA and Saudi Arabia.
