I am working as the Sales & Operations Manager at Z5 Logistics Ltd, a specialized logistics company based in Slough, UK, providing same-day, next-day, and nationwide courier services to our customers. In my role, I was responsible for overseeing the complete business operations, including business development, daily operations, sales, administration, finance, and marketing. One of my primary responsibilities is business development, where I prepare B2B marketing strategies, design marketing material, and engage in field marketing. I also visited and meet potential customers and decision-makers, utilize social media and email marketing, and engage in cold calling to generate leads. Additionally, I represented my organization at various Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce events such as networking events, focused group discussions, and public speaking engagements.To grow our sales, I managed existing customer accounts and fulfill their day-to-day orders and inquiries. I also managed the complete business operations on the Courier Exchange CX website, including loads, diary, and finance manager. I provided updates and proof of delivery (POD) for customers on each job completed by our drivers. My role at Z5 Logistics Ltd has allowed me to develop my skills in sales, marketing, operations, and management, and I am committed to continuing to drive growth and success for the company.I was responsible for searching and allocating jobs to drivers on the Courier Exchange CX website, including posting quotations, negotiating, and updating the status of each delivery. I updated the daily driver time sheet and calculate overtime as per hours worked. I made daily entries of the jobs into an excel sheet and reconcile the accounts receivables at the end of each month. In addition, I was responsible for maintaining the road safety and legality of our vehicles, including road tax, MOT, and picking and dropping vans and drivers to the service garage when needed.
