About Lyric Lewin

Lyric is a photojournalist and writer who has covered food and culture across international newsrooms and kitchens.She began her career as a food photographer while waiting tables at an award-winning restaurant and worked extensively with nationally-regarded chefs. The work that came out of those days included photography for Esquire, Condé Nast Traveler and Garden & Gun. Her years as a photo editor and writer at CNN helped her to cultivate her story-telling techniques. During that time as the assistant producer of CNN Photos her work with the team was recognized by the National Press Photographers Association. After a couple years doing journalistic work, including photography and writing for publications like, Zagat, and Atlanta Magazine, she landed a position as Photo Director at Whetstone Media where she worked for several years assigning stories and leading visual coverage for both the print magazines, Whetstone and Rasa. She is now the lead food journalist at the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
