About Lyra Wiggins
I am a student at the University of Oregon, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Sports Management. I am passionate about learning about different cultures, regions, and issues, and applying my knowledge to create positive change in the world. I have also gained valuable experience as a RHA Designee on the University Housing Student Advisory Board and as a Leadership Representative of Justice Bean Hall, where I participate in college governance, promote leadership, and organize events and initiatives for my fellow students. Additionally, I have worked as an Ice Cream Server at Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, where I developed my attention to detail and external communication skills.As a RHA Designee and a Leadership Representative, I have contributed to the development of policies and processes that affect students from a student\'s perspective, ensuring that their voices are heard and respected. I have also planned and facilitated leadership events and retreats, where I have learned how to work with diverse and inclusive teams, manage budgets and logistics, and create engaging and educational activities. I have also taken meeting minutes, organized team bonding activities, and chosen the hall council\'s initiatives during the year. Through these experiences, I have demonstrated my commitment, creativity, and collaboration skills, as well as my ability to balance multiple responsibilities and deadlines. I am eager to join an organization that values student leadership, diversity, and innovation, and where I can bring my global perspective and communication skills to the table.
