ABOUT LYON CHANG
I\'ve spent 20+ years helping businesses grow — first in banking, now in legal tech.My career started on the front lines at major Canadian Banks and Insurance companies, learning what clients actually need (not just what we wanted to sell them). That foundation shaped everything that followed: building a $2MM+ healthcare professionals portfolio, leading teams to 170% revenue growth, and being selected for an innovation lab where I got to challenge how banking could work differently. When I left RBC in 2023, I partnered with a lawyer who shared a frustration I\'d seen repeatedly: professional services are stuck in outdated operational models. V-Law was born from that — we now provide the complete operational infrastructure for lawyers to run thriving virtual practices. What connects all of this is a simple belief: business works better when you remove unnecessary friction and let professionals focus on what they do best.A few things that set me apart:→ Trilingual (English, Mandarin, Taiwanese) with years of experience bridging East-West business relationships — including serving as RBC\'s Liaison to China and leading the Victoria Chinese Commerce Association as President for four years.→ International business education at Grenoble Ecole de Management in France during my MBA, giving me a cross-border perspective on commerce and innovation.→ Deep community involvement — from the Global Affairs Canada Victoria Forum to financial literacy workshops for Indigenous youth with BC Aboriginal Friendship Centres.Currently building V-Law while staying connected to the banking and finance world I know well. Always open to conversations about financial services, legal tech, or cross-border business.
