About Lynn George

I work with experienced women whose leadership capacity has outgrown the scope of their current role. The women I support are capable, respected, and still employed. They are not burned out or disengaged. They are often high-performing leaders who have grown beyond the boundaries of what their role currently allows, and they are trying to understand what that means before making a move.My work sits at the intersection of leadership development and career clarity. I help leaders interpret moments of underutilization without turning them into self-doubt or impulsive change. The focus is not on leaving roles prematurely, but on strengthening leadership identity, presence, and strategic contribution—so leaders can expand with intention and credibility.I partner with HR and L&D leaders to support leadership development in context. Rather than coaching people out of organizations, I work with leaders in roles to improve clarity, engagement, and alignment—supporting retention, succession planning, and the effective use of internal talent.Whether through individual coaching, leadership development programs, or facilitated conversations, my work helps leaders understand what their leadership is asking for next and how to respond without destabilizing their careers or the organizations they serve. For Individuals:This is not job search coaching or resume writing coaching — it\'s about alignment and direction for your next chapter. For Organizations (HR, L&D, ERGs):This is leadership development and identity transitions inside the workplace — the work that impacts retention, engagement, and internal mobility. If this is where you are, there’s a next step: Book a Career Alignment & Identity Strategy Session:https://tidycal.com/workwithlynng/bbooklynngtospeak For HR/ERGs: Speaking & Workshops:https://tidycal.com/workwithlynng/speaking-and-workshops

Experience

  1. Career and Professional Development Coach

    Prairie View A&m University

    Apr 2024 — Present

Leading the development of PVAMU’s coaching and career development ecosystem, I build competency-based training, scalable development programs, and performance-driven coaching standards that strengthen both staff capability and student outcomes. My work blends instructional design, adult learning, and organizational development to create systems that elevate coaching quality and expand access for over students. I focus on aligning learning strategy, operational processes, and talent development to drive measurable impact across the university. • Lead the strategy, design, and continuous improvement of the department’s career development framework, curriculum, and coaching infrastructure to support student career readiness at scale. • Serve as the department lead for career coaching development, including onboarding, training, and professional development of career coaching staff using a train-the-coach model. • Design and govern a comprehensive career development curriculum that informs all coaching practices, workshops, and professional development programming. • Translate curriculum into scalable student-facing learning experiences, including core professional development workshops and online learning pathways. • Lead the design, sequencing, and administration of career readiness and professional development courses within the university’s LMS (Canvas), analyzing engagement data to drive continuous improvement. • Provide strategic oversight of career coaching operations while maintaining an active coaching caseload to ensure programs remain grounded in student needs and lived practice. • Collaborate with campus partners—including faculty, academic leaders, and employer engagement teams—to integrate career readiness across the student lifecycle. • Analyze data from EAB Navigate and other systems to assess outcomes, inform strategy, and strengthen the effectiveness of career development initiatives.
