About Lynne D Johnson
Lynne d Johnson is a veteran journalist, with a background in digital and social media strategy, who led cross-functional teams to develop creative content and community experiences for popular media brands like Vibe, Spin, and Fast Company, as well as for a host of B2B and B2C brands. Lynne was also featured in AT & T\'s 2014 ‘Seeing Stars’ Campaign, highlighting black tech entrepreneurs, where she played herself preparing to give a TED-style talk.She is also an adjunct professor at SUNY Empire State College\'s Harry Van Arsdale Center For Labor Studies, teaching Class, Race and Gender and is also a diversity facilitator/trainer for Local 3 Electrician\'s Union IBEW.Throughout the years, she has keynoted and led panels at tech and media conferences about emerging tech and diversity in tech, and has also spoken widely about online community building and social media, and personal branding, as well as conducted workshops and trainings, at leading industry events and organizations such as Black Enterprise TechConneXt, PRSA Digital Impact, The Advertising Research Foundation, WebVisions, Web Directions Sydney, Future of Web Apps, AdTech, Web 2.0, SXSW Interactive, Women Who Tech Telesummit, Lesbians Who Tech, and BlogHer Business. Lynne was awarded a MVMT 50 Top 10 Innovators award in 2015 at SXSW Interactive and was also the recipient of the 2006 Black Weblog Awards Black Blogger Achievement Award. She also served as an advisor to BlogHer, SXSW Interactive and WomenWhoTech.
