Water connects and supports every aspect of life. For most of us, access to drinking water is something we rarely question. We just assume it will always be there for us.However, as the world’s population continues to grow and urbanize, our current water treatment and sanitation infrastructure is struggling to keep up, much less meet the needs of tomorrow.The solution requires much more than investment.It requires reinvention.At Broadview Collaborative we are dedicated to solving the water crisis by rethinking the trillion dollar water opportunity we now face in the United States.We do this by connecting innovative start-up companies with industry leaders and sustainability-focused investors, and supporting investors, advocates, and utilities with the technical and policy insights and expertise needed to make informed decisions.My commitment to confronting the water crisis in the US crystallized over a decade ago via my work with The Johnson Foundation at Wingspread, where I was commissioned to catalyze a national dialogue on water. This began at a time when most Americans weren’t worried about water and didn’t see the connection between water, climate, energy, food, or social equity.Although we have come a long way, we still have a ways to go to create the fully sustainable communities needed to serve future generations.It is also something we don’t have a choice about.Water is the linchpin upon which our lives depend.With some of the best minds on the case, we are seeing new innovations emerge everyday, yet the challenge is implementing these ideas.If you have an innovation, are looking to initiate change, or are impatient to be part of the water solution, I invite you to get in touch.Years of experience, a unique way of seeing connections and opportunities, and a broad network, put me in a singular position to help solve, what I believe, is one of this generation’s most fundamental challenges.
