Exalted Ruler (ER) is the executive officer of an Elks Lodge. Responsibilities include:*Overseeing daily operations similar to how a CEO runs a corporation.*Ensuring activities are charitable: The ER ensures that lodge activities promote charity, justice, brotherly love and fidelity.*Hold monthly lodge meetings, initiations and other meetings as needed.*Participate on house meetings, board of directors, activities and veterans committee sessions.*Appoint acting officers.*Protect the lodge charter.*Enforce laws and by-laws*General supervision over all matters pertaining to the lodge.*Attend all District Deputy and Distict meetings.*Attend spring, fall and national conventions.I have been a member of Wilkins Lodge #577 since 2002.
