As a member of the People Leadership Team, contribute to the development and implementation of the People Strategy, • Lead the reward function for the organisation (~4,200 employees), from strategy to implementation, including- Design and management of pay frameworks for salaried and hourly paid employees- Provision of retirement, risk, and voluntary benefits- Benchmarking, job evaluation, and role and organisational design.• Ensure that Leonard Cheshire offers pay, pensions and benefits which are fair, consistent and competitive in our sector.• Build an employee value proposition which attracts and retains great employees, in line with our people mission of establishing a rewarding, inclusive and great workplace.• Engage with the Executive team and the People and Operations Committee (Trustee board sub-committee), submitting papers and discussing strategic matters related to areas of expertise.• Work as a strategic business partner with Operations Management.In addition to Reward, I have also led the following functions:Since April 2023- Learning and development - Equality, diversity, and inclusion - People policiesApril 2020 to March 2022- Internal communication and employee engagement.Achievements:• Comprehensive review of pay frameworks and benefits, improving fairness and enhancing market competitiveness.• Closure of defined benefit pension scheme to future accrual, eliminating open-ended financial liability.• Implementation of global levelling and benefits alignment across international operations (UK, Bangladesh, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Zambia).• Partnering with Operations to address recruitment challenges in the socal care sector.• Implementation of wellbeing initiatives, supporting our employees through challenging times.• Review, design and implementation of a revised performance development process.• Review, design and implementation of a revised induction programme for registered managers.
