O’Connor is currently an ex-officio member of the Ingleside, Ingleside at Rock Creek, Westminster at Lake Ridge, Ingleside at King Farm, Ingleside at Home, and Westminster Ingleside Foundation Boards of Directors. She is Chair of the Board of Directors for the Presbyterian Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (PAHSA), the Chair of its Governance and Nominations Committee and Strategic Task Force and serves as Chair Elect on the Board of LeadingAge DC. She also served on the LeadingAge Governance Task Force.O’Connor has served on the Board of Directors for the American Healthcare Association (AHCA), was Chair of its Nonprofit Committee, and was on its Executive and Strategic Planning Committees. She served on the Board of Directors and became Vice Chair of the Colorado Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (CAHSA) and was a member of its Reimbursement Task Force, and served on the LeadingAge House of Delegates. O’Connor served on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Association of Nonprofit Homes for the Aging (NJANPHA), and served on its Governance and Nominations, Strategic Planning, and Executive Committees. She was appointed by Maryland Governor Parris Glendening to Chair the Maryland Assisted Living Task Force composed of consumers, government officials, and providers charged with creating the first set of Assisted Living regulations for the State of Maryland. The outcome of the Task Force was that Maryland passed an Assisted Living bill and promulgated Assisted Living regulations. O’Connor served on the Board of the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Homes for the Aging (MANPHA) and chaired its Assisted Living Task Force.
