Clients have included Afrikan Poetry Theatre, by way of the City of New York Department of Cultural Affairs, Santa Clara Pueblo in New Mexico and the Yakama Nation in Yakama, Washington. For five seasons, I have managed the evaluation of the DanceMotion USA(sm) program for the Department of State, and Brooklyn Academy of Music. ABOUT LYNETTE TURNER
From Anchorage Alaska, I previously worked with Perseverance Theater in Juneau Alaska, for 13 years, first as actor, choreographer and then as Producing Director. Have worked for AMS Planning & Research, a national arts management consulting firm in our CT office for nearly 25 years. AMS works exclusively in the arts and cultural sector providing strategic and business plans, feasibility studies, cultural planning, market research and program evaluation. I have relocated to Arizona and continue to work for the firm remotely. AMS is committed to EDIA internally, as well as the work we do with our clients. I chair AMS\'s EDIA committee and manage our Pathways to Consulting Fellowship program, the only one of its kind in the field, designed to support populations that have been underrepresented in the arts management consulting field. A keen observer and appreciator of other cultures, I have traveled to Africa three times - West Africa (on a choreography grant), North Africa and Central Africa. Additional trips have been made to Spain, Portugal, Monte Carlo, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Trinidad, Mexico, British Virgin Islands, and St. Thomas. I have volunteered at the Fairfield, CT food bank as well as having been an active participant in the Purple Pantry food bank project, a program to assist those in need of food in Connecticut. I have also been a hospice volunteer. Additionally, I am Vice President on the international board of directors for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Foundation (LUKMEF) a NGO located in Cameroon in Central Africa. I am a Positivoligist and author of The Ten Be\'s Of Positivity-10 Steps to a More Positive Way of Living, in addition to being a certified dream teacher with the Robert Moss School of Active Dreaming, an Angelspeake facilitator, reiki practitioner and sound healer. I am also an ordained interfaith/interspiritual minister affiliated with One Spirit Learning Alliance in New York, NY. My motto is BLISS-Believe Life Is Something Special, because it is, and so are you.
