About Lynell Engelmyer

I work to counsel and empower first-generation, low-income college-bound students through Hamilton Scholars\' 5-year program. As a former Director of Financial Aid and college admissions officer, I assist students with, not just the nuts and bolts of these applications, but with the support necessary to help these young people with life challenges as they navigate the educational pipeline on their way to earning a college degree. In my 25 years in higher education, this work has brought me intellectual challenges and tremendous joy. I have extensive experience in counseling students with a variety of issues including helping students with self discovery, finding schools that provide a good match, guiding students through the application and financial aid processes, related family issues and much more.
