About Lyneir Richardson

I am an entrepreneur and a professor working to empower entrepreneurs and strengthen economic conditions in urban areas across the United States. I see value in people and places that others overlook or undervalue. My work includes developing commercial real estate, largely in African American communities. I have completed $800M+ in urban real estate transactions. Through my current efforts at the Center for Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development and the Chicago TREND Corporation, I advise, lecture, research and write on urban entrepreneurship, I help start and grow businesses and lead an angel investment fund providing equity capital to urban entrepreneurs. I am a real estate fund manager with committed capital from institutional investors. I am also proud to co-own six shopping centers with over 460 residents of low- and moderate income neighborhoods and small impact investors.#WEOwnThis!
